- Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale – large areas laid out to lawn( with footpaths) plus ornamental ponds. Café & large terrace overlooking lawns. ( Whitworth Institute is grade II listed building completed in 1890 & gifted to people of Darley Dale in 2009/10. 11 miles from Hartington

- Wedgewood Pottery/ World of Wedgewood – heritage showcase/ museum for Wedgewood plus shopping & tea room. Museum free entry. Factory tour £10/8. 26 miles from Hartington
