Statement: Appeal decision, 'Midhope Track' 17th November 2021
The Peak District National Park Authority has welcomed a decision by the Planning Inspectorate to uphold an enforcement notice against a geotextile track installed on Midhope Moor, approximately 18km north-west of Sheffield and 3.5km south of Langsett.
New litter picking kits help visitors to look after the Peak District National Park 15th September 2021
Litter picking kits can now be borrowed from two Peak District visitor centres. The kits - containing a picking guide, bags, a hi-vis jacket and a litter picker - are currently available from Castleton and Bakewell visitor centres on a free day-hire basis.

Hope Valley Explorer seasonal bus returns to Peak District for 2021 20th July 2021
Following a successful pilot season in 2019, the service was paused during the Covid-19 restrictions of 2020 but will now operate from 24 July to 30 October this year.
Statement on an enforcement notice against works at Thornbridge Hall & Gardens undertaken without planning permission 5th July 2021
The enforcement case concerns the erection of a substantial wooden building (currently in use as a café) and construction of a tarmac-surfaced car park and associated driveway. These matters do not relate to Thornbridge Hall itself, which is unaffected by this enforcement notice.
