• Peak District National Park Authority re-elects Andrew McCloy as chair 5th July 2022
  Cllr McCloy, a Parish Member from Youlgrave, was re-appointed to the role in a vote during the Authority’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 1 July. James Berresford was re-appointed as deputy chair of the Authority.
• South West Peak Landscape Partnership celebrates successes 30th June 2022
  The South West Peak Landscape Partnership has reached the end of its five year programme and has celebrated its successes with staff, volunteers, and partner organisations at an event in Warslow, on 25 June.
• New chief executive Phil Mulligan to join National Park Authority from September 14th June 2022
  The Peak District National Park Authority has confirmed that Phil Mulligan has been appointed as its new chief executive, taking on the role from early September 2022.
• Peak District National Park secures funding through The Alan Turing Institute 8th June 2022
  The Peak District National Park Authority and Foundation are among ten organisations to gain funding through The Alan Turing Institute to tackle environmental issues.
• Statement: Hen harrier disappearance in the Peak District 16th May 2022
  Responding to reports of the failure of two hen harrier nests following the disappearance of male hen harriers thought to be supporting the nests in the area.
• Visitors can enjoy greener day out to the Peak District as seasonal bus service returns 10th May 2022
  Peak District visitors can once again enjoy some of the National Park's most spectacular views and attractions while leaving the car at home as the Hope Valley Explorer seasonal bus route returns for a third year.
• RIP Tony Hams OBE, former Peak District National Park Authority chair 9th March 2022
  We were saddened to hear the news of the death of Tony Hams OBE, who was a former Chair of the National Park Authority.
• National Park Authority and Derbyshire Constabulary in new agreement to tackle rural issues in the Peak District 2nd March 2022
  The two organisations will work together to ‘support a safe home and welcoming place for people and wildlife in the Peak District National Park’
• Bumper year for voles sees breeding short-eared owl numbers double in latest Peak District bird of prey report 2nd March 2022
  The Peak District Bird of Prey Initiative has published its 2021 breeding season report.
• Partial closures to car parking at Stanage - 21-25 February 18th February 2022
  To allow helicopter operations to take place and assist conservation and habitat works in nearby upland areas, some car parks at Stanage will be affected next week.
