Hartington Village Hall Roof Appeal update:

We have just heard that South West Peak Partnership have approved our application for £10,000 towards the £28,300 cost of  replacing the roof 😊. We also raised almost £300 from yesterday’s most enjoyable pizza evening . HUGE thank you to Garry,  Steve and the Charles Cotton for their part in that. Hartington Village Hall Lottery Draw:

At the first monthly draw on the 10th July Cllr David Chapman drew out the winning ball, number 60, which means Judith Chantler is our first winner. Congratulations! The next draw will take place at 6.00pm on Wednesday 14th August at the Devonshire Arms.

Hartington Village Hall roof appeal update:

This morning we have learned that The Duke Of Devonshire’s Charitable Trust have awarded us £5,000 towards the cost of replacing the main roof. In addition we have received a cheque for £200 from Alstonefield Leaden Boot Challenge for the roof appeal. We await decisions on two further grant applications that will be heard in the next two weeks. Read more…

Reminder and advanced notice of events: Summer Trial and Peaks Tour Sportive Cycling Event

Classic cars will be passing through the village on the morning of Sunday July 14th around 11.20am for Summer Trial 2019. Peaks Tour Sportive Cycling: a non-competitive cycling sportive is taking place on Saturday 21st September 2019 out of Bakewell Showground and will pass through Hartington and the surrounding villages. Hall Bank and The Devonshire Arms both reopen

The road closure along Hall Bank, between the Youth Hostel and Heathcote Mere, has now been removed and the road reopened. Following closure for refurbishment in early April The Devonshire Arms reopened for business on Saturday 29th June, initially for drinks but will hopefully also be serving food from Friday 5th July.
