Congratulations to Keith Quine, Chairman of Hartington Village Hall Committee, who won the Award for “Trustee of the Year” in last night’s virtual Awards Ceremony, hosted by Support Staffordshire!

Keith was nominated for this award because of all the hard work that he, and as Keith is keen to point out, the other Trustees and Volunteers, have done to save the Village Hall from near closure in 2017, and in securing grants to enable the amazing renovations, both completed and to be completed, thus making the Village Hall a warm, welcoming and vibrant Village Hub.

Although we are located in Derbyshire, the activities held at Hartington Village Hall extend beyond county borders, drawing in many residents from the Staffordshire Moorlands, such as the Rural Social Group, Badminton, Pilates, Dance Club, to name a few, hence Keith’s nomination.

Keith’s response is typically modest…..”Mightily embarrassed but this evening I have been awarded Trustee of the Year by Support Staffordshire at their virtual celebration evening.I am grateful, I think, to Liz for proposing me but what we have achieved in recent times has been very much a team effort. So thank you Liz, thank you to my wife who gave no clue to me of what was been hatched, but mostly thank you to all of you who have supported our drive to make our Village Hall a fit place for our community.” That said, we are all very proud. Congratulations, Keith!
