2.00-5.00 Sunday 5th June on the field behind the War Memorial – bring along a picnic, rug (and chairs if you wish) to join us in a community Platinum Jubilee picnic. There will be a number of gazebos with tables and chairs for those who wish to wish to shelter from the sun. One of the tents will provide a location to display Jubilee puddings, so make sure you bring yours along. There will be music from the last seven decades. For the children, and young at heart, there will be an opportunity to toast giant marshmallows. The event will come to a close with a peal of bells from St Giles Church. It’s an opportunity to come together and relax with friends, family and neighbours to share memories of the past as well as hopes for the future.
There will not be any parking possible at the field itself. We will put cones out along the road near the gate so those with mobility issues can be dropped off. Also please note that we ask that on this occasion you leave your dog at home.
The Village Hall toilets will be open during the afternoon.
Not everyone is on social media so please share this information with neighbours.
