Tony Walker, the High Sheriff of Derbyshire, is walking the Peak Pilgrimage to raise funds for ACE Youth Trust and today began the second day of his pilgrimage from St Giles’ Church, Hartington to St Leonard’s Church, Monyash.

Welcomed by Sarah, the High Sheriff stamped his Peak Pilgrimage book in the church before a time of silence and then prayers for Emergency Services Day led by Tim Morris, the Minister for the Ashbourne Methodists Church.

Having ended the first day of the Pilgrimage on a very wet September 2nd the weather was much kinder for day two and the walk, through High Fields, Heathcote, and along the Tissington Trail before descending into Monyash went without issue. So far the High Sheriff’s Pilgrimage has raised over £5000 for the ACE Youth Trust Charity.
