The UK's original National Park is looking to welcome two new Secretary of State-appointed Members to the National Park Authority and applications are now open.
Thanks to funding of £45,000 achieved through an Archives Revealed grant, a collection - made up of over 40,000 Peak District images - is to be catalogued, along with the creation of an online resource.
As the UK begins its ‘meteorological spring’ on 1 March, organisations involved in caring for the Peak District are urging everyone to respect and take personal responsibility when enjoying the country’s original national park to help protect the area’s natural beauty.
The Peak District National Park Authority has today (25 February 2025) approved restructuring proposals that have been driven by a need to reduce costs.
People who live, work in and visit the Peak District National Park are being asked for their views on walking, cycling, riding, and wheeling (wheelchairs/trampers) routes in an online consultation.
