Hartington Village Hall August lottery draw:
Theresa, our esteemed Pilates instructor, drew the winning number 34. The August bumper prize of £300 was won by Mr and Mrs Whilock of Foxt, long term members of our Social Dance Club. That concludes our 2022/3 lottery but we will shortly launch our 2023/4 lottery which will support the upgrading of our toilet facilities. Not the sexiest project but…… The last two lotteries have raised £7K and we were able to secure grants that matched that sum with the remaining kitchen costs being met by our fund raising efforts including the Kitchen Disco. It is no exaggeration to say that all improvements made over the past 4 years could not have happened without our lottery income as a springboard for grant income. So a huge thank you to all our subscribers over the past two years in support of the kitchen and also in particular to the tireless volunteers who fund raised, stripped out the kitchen, cleaned up and painted. Andy Wain, Paul and James and GEMS completed the work to time and to budget with considerable skill and patience.
No, the coffee dispensing Tuc Tuc is not ours but was used by the Village Stores team to cater for participants in the Dovedale Dippers event on Saturday.
