Hartington Village Hall : The new social distancing rules from 14 September, whether indoors or outdoors, means people from different households must not meet in groups of more than 6. Community facilities can however host more than 6 people in total. We have this confirmation from Rural Action Derbyshire. Community facilities are treated in the same way as cafes, pubs and restaurants.

For seated activities (unless they are a single household or support bubble greater than 6) people will be sat at tables so they are positioned at least 2 metres apart.  Face masks must be worn, the exceptions being during physical activity such as Pilates and badminton, or when eating or drinking.
Extract from ‘Meeting with others safely: Social Distancing’ guidance:

‘Venues following COVID-19 secure guidelines (such as Hartington Village Hall) will be able to continue to host more people in total but no one should visit in a single group of greater than 6. When you visit you should:

  • follow the limits on the number of other people you should meet with as a specific close group – no more than six people unless you all live together (or are in the same support bubble)
  • avoid close social interaction with anyone outside the group you are with, even if you see other people you know. Maintain social distancing.
  • provide your contact details to the organiser so that you can be contacted if needed by the NHS Test and Trace programme’.
