Hartington Social Dance Club was formed around 36 years ago and quickly gained the reputation of being a friendly club, ‘one-of-the-best’. The aim was to provide a friendly atmosphere where like-minded folks could meet to dance and enjoy the music.
The original committee members retired last June; a new committee was formed and the club continues on with the same values.
Meeting on Wednesday evenings from mid-September to the end of June an assortment of music is played in ‘Sequence time’, if you are not sure of the steps – just follow the couple in front!
As before, tea and biscuits are served at half-time giving everyone a chance to chat with friends old and new.
If you would like to come along, the doors of Hartington Village Hall open at 7.30pm for an 8.00pm start. Membership fees are £2.50 per annum with a weekly charge of £1.50, alternatively: non-members pay £2.00 per session inclusive of tea and biscuits.
