The High Sheriff of Derbyshire, Tony Walker, is walking the Peak Pilgrimage, with friends and colleagues, from Ilam to Eyam on four separate days in September, passing through Hartington. He will finish the first leg on Wednesday 2nd September at approximately 3pm near Hartington Youth Hostel. The following week sees Day 2 of the Peak Pilgrimage on Wednesday 9th September, starting from St Giles Church, Hartington, at 9.30am. The church will be open from 9am. The High Sheriff is raising money for the ACE Youth Trust and would welcome donations at https://gf.me/u/ygmhv search ACE Youth Trust.
