The Dovedale Dipper Challenge, starting and finishing at Hartington Village Hall on Sunday 4th August, was a great success with over 400 participating in the 26 mile run/walk and the shorter 15 mile ramble. Despite signs saying Hall Bank Closed 20/08/19 it is still closed and access only as far as Victoria House. Visitors to the Youth Hostel should follow the diversion signs and approach the YHA from Heathcote. No evidence of any work by Severn Trent to refill the hole so far today.

Signs have gone up indicating Hall Bank will be closed between Reynards Lane and Leisure Lane on 20th August. Online information indicates this could extend until 23rd August whilst Severn Trent work on the water main although resident access should still be possible. Severn Trent report there will be no disruption to the water supply.
The Warslow Silver Band will be playing at the Hymns and Pimms Concert on Sunday 4th August at 7.00pm in St Giles’ Church, Hartington. All welcome, £5 on the door.
