The annual Walk Moor guide is a collection of free led short walks on the Eastern Moors. We are able to provide these walks in partnership with the Eastern Moors partnership and NE Derbyshire District Council. This guide can be found at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/walkguides.
Our well attended dementia friendly walk still operates every 2nd Tuesday at 2pm at the Whitworth Park in Darley Dale and focuses heavily on cake and it is a joy to support these families and allow them some time out in the beautiful park with others who understand what they are living through.
Finally, the North Dales social prescribers andHelen Milton have partnered and successfully started ‘Fresh Air Meets’ for those with poor mental health. We have held 2 Meets so far and both have been well attended. These also focus heavily on cake.
