The National Park Authority is aware that organisations including Manchester & East Midlands Rail Action Partnership (MEMRAP) have developed proposals, and are campaigning for the reinstatement of an active railway line on the route now known as the Monsal Trail.
The enforcement case concerns the erection of a substantial wooden building (currently in use as a café) and construction of a tarmac-surfaced car park and associated driveway. These matters do not relate to Thornbridge Hall itself, which is unaffected by this enforcement notice.
