The cake to the left was provided for the picnic by Hartington Royal British Legion with the one to the right consumed with a Toast to The Queen in The British Legion after the Church Service. A selection of puddings, including the Jubilee Pudding, were sampled by all the guests. Marshmallows were toasted and the winner of the Scarecrow competition announced – Carol and Gwen from Stonewell Lane. The afternoon was rounded off by a full peal of bells from St Giles’ Church.
