The June monthly lottery draw, the last in the series, was made on 10th June by Laura. The winning number, 36, is held by Graham Smith of Cheadle, a long term member of the Wednesday Social Dance Club. He wins £300. Trustees wish to thank all who bought a lottery ticket and the sum raised has meant that work on replacing the roof will commence as soon as the contractor has his team available and supply of materials is resolved. £20K has been secured in grants with the rest of our funds being raised in the past 18 months through our own fund raising.
Village Hall Trustees would like to take this opportunity to thank Laura, Sue B and Sue P, as well as their colleagues, for cheerfully maintaining services to our community. We are making plans to re-open the Hall next month for our user groups.
We will launch a further lottery in September to help fund a new heating system for the Village Hall, having secured a grant that will cover the majority of the cost.
