Helen and Steve Harrison extend a warm friendly welcome to Bank House Guest House where your comfort is our main priority and guests are encouraged to ‘make yourselves at home!’ in our relaxed atmosphere.
Bank House is set in the scenic village of Hartington, just a few steps from beautiful views, breath taking landscapes and pure tranquillity. If you want picturesque walks in the country or maybe you just want to soak up the atmosphere then Hartington is the place for you. Bank House offers you a friendly atmosphere with equally friendly staff, it will be your home from home and we are certain your stay will be a memorable one.
Grade II listed, Bank House was built in 1828 with local limestone and gritstone. The major floor and roof timbers are of oak with some evidence of the use of ex ships timbers (re-cycling is not a modern concept!).
We are kept warm and dry with full central heating and we can see at night due to the incorporation of Thomas Edison inspired electric light bulbs!
Bank House is a well recognised guest house which has been awarded “4 stars” with the AA ratings, you can rest assured you will be in good hands so you can concentrate on enjoying your stay.
