There are a number of books available to borrow in the Village Hall. The Hall will be open 11 – 12 on Tuesdays, if you want to come along and borrow one to read.

- Celebrating 70 years of Peak District National Park rangers 17th April 2024Peak District rangers returned to their roots to mark their 70th anniversary. As part of the celebrations, National Park rangers recreated a photograph taken outside Edale's Old Nags Head pub, where the original service was launched on Good Friday, 16th April 1954.
- Nominate your National Park volunteer heroes 4th April 2024The National Park Protector awards 2024 are now open for nominations offering the opportunity for individuals and groups to win recognition and cash prizes for their efforts in helping nature and people thrive.
- Celebrating volunteers in the Peak District National Park 20th March 2024Peak District volunteers came together in a day to recognise the many ways they contribute to the work of the National Park. Around 140 people took part in the Volunteers Day, held at Lady Manners School in Bakewell.
- Temporary closure for flood damage repairs at Castleton Visitor Centre 22nd February 2024Castleton Visitor Centre will be temporarily closed from Monday 26 February for around three weeks for building repairs following recent flood damage.
